camera phones

camera phones are horrible quality, but really convenient. while my motorola q was completely useless when i was jobless, i'd be a hot mess without it now. even though its camera capabilities are crap, i still have managed to capture some cute moments that i otherwise wouldn't have gotten. here are a few since we've moved.

summer trips to shadow oak park with the kids. ah, fresh air. i don't even know what that is anymore now that i'm on lockdown with work. i cherish the trips to this park. it reminds me of our adventures when we were little... hill rolling, scavenger hunts, forgetting melon at dance practice, ej and his fear of sand ("there's sand in my popeng!"), that old wood play structure we used to sit at and imagine play in the 90 degree heat. the park is still that fun. it's nice to see other folks our age (and younger!) with their kids playing and having birthday parties there. i feel so lucky to have great memories of that park, and that the kids have the same opportunity. the only "bad" time we had was when the little ones (joie, gani and marley) took off running, non-stop at top speed up the path, and jackie and i had to RUN after them, screaming for them to stop. man, did they get chewed out when we caught up to them (rather, jackie caught up to them, and i finally followed about 50 seconds later because i'm out of shape). how dare they make me run!!! speaking of cousins...

the bad asses

summer of jam. my arrival here was officially marked by the arrival of jam. i LOVE that little chubs of love. i feel like i have a special bond with her. it's probably amplified now that i have a middle child connection with her. plus, she's so damn cute, how could you not love the little turd?


who looks like this after delivery?! i couldn't smile for a week after delivering. no wonder lee lai and jam have the personalities they do. their fun mom has energy to spare.

i think this nervous stage has subsided. she's much more smiley now. and now some random shots of the fam on the camera phone.
