pronunciation

as gani's language develops, it's so cute to hear him figure out how to pronounce things. and it kind of makes me sad when he actually does figure out the correct pronunciation of things. he used to say "ephelant", for example. now he'll say, "i can say it now, mama! watch. elephant." and it's so wonderful that he's got it right, but part of me is reminded of how big he's getting, and it's a little bittersweet. waaaaaah!

so i was telling him to say the sentence:
"the yellow elephant was using my napkin earlier."

because his pronunciation of it would be:
"the lellow ephelant was using my ma-kin erliler."

and after his visit to the aquarium yesterday, it will be:
"the lellow ephelant was using my ma-kin erliler at the kwerlilum."
